[Preparing to write]

Citing correctly and reference/citation management tools

Definition:

Academic work is built upon the shoulders of others. Giving proper credit to research by others is assumed to be a part of academic practice, and citations are used to provide this credit. Reference or citation managers are tools that can assist you in forming citations properly (based on the appropriate style guide for your written work) and in organizing literature and other information on your research topic.
